When home laundered, these garments are susceptible to streaks. When washed in non-commercial machines, the heavyweight fabric tends to "bunch up".  This can cause creases tht lose the dye and result in streaks.  Purely an appearance issue, the streaks do not affect the flame-resistant performance of the products, or the superior construction and durability for which Carhartt garments are prized.
